Somervell Parole and Probation

Parole and probation both permit a person to live in the community under rules, but they begin in different ways. The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles decides parole and discretionary mandatory supervision after a state-prison sentence. TDCJ's Parole Division then supervises the person. Probation, called community supervision in Texas law, is imposed by the sentencing court and administered through a local Community Supervision and Corrections Department. A person on Somervell County probation may never have entered a TDCJ prison.

This distinction controls the search. A TDCJ number, parole release date, or board decision points toward the state parole system. A Somervell cause number and a judgment placing the person on community supervision point toward the sentencing court and probation office. Neither status should be inferred merely because a name is absent from the county jail.

Parole

The formal end of a term of custody or supervision.

Verify Somervell Post-Release Supervision

Start with identity, then identify the authority. A same-name match is not enough. Compare date of birth, middle name, TDCJ-CID number, SID, or the Somervell court cause number. The ordinary TDCJ inmate search focuses on people currently incarcerated, so it is not a complete archive of discharged parolees and it is not a probation lookup.

1. For a person still in state prison, search the TDCJ inmate database and record the TDCJ number and parole-review fields.
2. For a board result, call the Board status line at 844-512-0461 with the name, TDCJ-CID number, and birth date when known.
3. After release, use the current TDCJ county-to-office directory and request public supervision fields from the Parole Division.
4. For probation, match the cause number to the Somervell sentencing court, then read the signed supervision, modification, revocation, or discharge orders.
5. Confirm the responsible probation office from the court file instead of treating the jail or parole office as the probation custodian.

The most reliable answer may require two records. The court file establishes what a judge ordered. The supervising agency establishes current administrative status. If either record is unclear, request the dated order or public-information response instead of relying on an old directory entry.

Somervell Supervision Offices Differ

Somervell County parolees are assigned through TDCJ to Fort Worth I District Parole Office in Region II. The county's own expunction contact list places the Somervell County Probation Office in Cleburne. These are distinct offices in different cities. Neither should be assumed to operate inside Somervell County Jail in Glen Rose.

Use the live Region II parole directory because an older TDCJ document contains a different fax digit. For probation, the sentencing clerk can confirm which department owns the case and whether a later order changed or ended supervision.

Somervell Supervision Warrants

Conditions are the enforceable rules attached to release. They may address reporting, travel, programs, fees, or conduct, but the controlling terms are the person's own certificate or court order. A violation allegation is not a new conviction. Parole authorities may issue a warrant and begin a revocation process; a probation court may continue, modify, or revoke community supervision after the required proceedings.

An absconder entry means the agency alleges that the person stopped reporting or cannot be located under the supervision rules. It does not establish the outcome of a later hearing. Ask TDCJ for the public warrant number, warrant date, supervision status, and office when parole is involved. For probation, inspect the Somervell docket for a motion to revoke, capias, hearing result, or signed order. A return to custody may also appear through Texas IVSS-Counties when a participating agency supplies the event.

Somervell Supervision Discharge Records

Supervision ends through a formal record, not through the passage of an estimated date alone. For parole or mandatory supervision, request the TDCJ release and discharge history. Public fields can include the release date, discharge date, status, county, cause, and supervising office, subject to current law and redactions. A projected date or favorable vote does not prove that gate processing occurred.

For probation, obtain the court's signed discharge order and check the docket for later corrections. Successful discharge does not automatically erase the case. Expunction and nondisclosure have separate eligibility rules and court procedures. When a final record conflicts with a directory or an older search result, ask the originating office to correct its own field. TDCJ controls TDCJ data, while the Somervell clerk controls the court docket. Keeping those custodians separate prevents one office's answer from being stretched beyond its scope.

Somervell Parole Review Results

Texas does not hold formal public hearings for ordinary parole or mandatory-release consideration. The Board panel-review FAQ explains that three-member panels review files and vote separately; two matching votes produce the result. Open-meeting notices are not a calendar of individual Somervell release cases.

The Parole Division generally identifies an initial-review case about six months before eligibility and a later-review case about four months ahead. Codes need care. FI-1 is a favorable release-when-eligible action, while RMS concerns release to mandatory supervision. NR, SA, and DMS are denial outcomes with different review consequences. A favorable vote remains different from physical release because file audit, holds, certificates, and required programs can remain.

Somervell Release Property Records

Texas's local retention schedule gives a specific path when the issue is property rather than supervision status. Prisoner property inventories and receipts are retained for release or transfer plus two years. A narrow request can ask whether property was inventoried and whether a receipt documents return at the Somervell County Jail.

The record does not prove where an item is now, and disclosure rules may still affect the response. No official local source states a separate property-pickup window. Contact the sheriff at 254-897-2242 and request the existing inventory or receipt tied to the booking. Do not direct that request to Fort Worth parole or the Cleburne probation contact, since neither office controls the county jail's property file.

Somervell Parole Record Fields

A published Parole Division information policy identifies fields that may be public, subject to current law and redaction. They include aliases and basic identifying details; the offense, sentence date and length, court, county, and cause; parole eligibility; parole or mandatory-supervision release date; discharge date; status; warrant number and date; and supervising officer. The policy dates from 2007, so it works as a field inventory rather than a substitute for today's public-information process.

Request only the fields needed to confirm supervision. Medical, treatment, and other protected details are not necessary for that task. If the response shows an old office, compare it with the live TDCJ directory. If a release date appears without a discharge date, the person may still be supervised. If a warrant field appears, ask for its status and date instead of assuming the allegation produced revocation.

Somervell Probation Court Records

Probation verification starts with the sentencing cause. A useful court file can contain the judgment, supervision term, conditions, later modifications, a motion to revoke, hearing entries, and a final discharge or revocation order. The County Clerk handles misdemeanor matters. The District Clerk maintains district criminal files, including felony cases. The public Tyler UCMS portal may help locate the cause, but signed copies come from the responsible clerk.

Read dates in sequence. A probation order may coincide with release from jail, yet the sheriff still owns the record of actual departure. A later modification can change the supervision rules without ending the term. A motion to revoke is an allegation, while a signed ruling records the court's action. Successful discharge closes supervision but does not by itself expunge or seal the criminal case.

Identity checks matter here as much as in parole records. Match the full name, birth date, cause number, offense date, and court. When a docket conflicts with a verbal account, obtain the signed order. That approach gives a dated Somervell County record and avoids blending two people or two separate cases.
